李家洋   農業部副部長、黨組成員,中國農業科學院院長,男,1956年7月出生于安徽肥西,植物分子遺傳學家。1982年初獲安徽農業大學學士學位,1984年獲中科院遺傳研究所碩士學位,1991年獲美國布蘭代斯大學博士學位,并進入美國康乃爾大學湯普遜植物研究所從事博士后研究。1994年回國工作,歷任中國科學院遺傳研究所所長助理、所長,遺傳與發育生物學研究所所長。2004年1月任中國科學院黨組成員、副院長,2011年10月任農業部副部長、黨組成員、中國農業科學院院長。

先后獲“國家杰出青年基金”、中國科學院“百人計劃”、國家自然科學委員會優秀團隊研究基金。2004年獲全球華人生物科學家大會生命科學成就獎和何梁何利生命科學獎,2005年獲國家自然科學獎二等獎、發展中國家科學院講演獎、長江學者成就二等獎,2011年獲美國植物生物學家協會(American Society of Plant Biologists) 終身會員獎(Corresponding Membership Award)。2001年當選中國科學院院士,2004年當選發展中國家科學院院士,2011年當選美國科學院外籍院士。

研究方向為高等植物生長發育與代謝的分子遺傳學,以糧食作物水稻和模式植物擬南芥為材料,研究植物激素(Auxin和Strigolactones)的合成途徑與作用機理,著重于闡明高等植物株型形成的分子機理,并致力于水稻的分子品種設計,培育高產、優質、高抗、高效新品種。
